Teaching and Education
The College is proud of its students who have excelled in academic activities in a short period of establishment of this institution. The most of the students passed out form this college have secured top positions in the All India Combined Examination For ICAR’s JRF (Junior Research Fellowships) awarded for pursuing their Post Graduate studies. #- In all the years the students of the College has secured the first rank at the National level in these examinations in all the categories (General, SC and ST) which is a great academic achievement.
Vocational Training
The Department of Family Resource Management and Department of Textiles and Apparel Designing started six months vocational course/ training on “Art and Craft” and ‘ Fashion Designing and Clothing Construction” respectively with the first batch on 23rd November 2009 and the second batch on 20th September 2010. The trainees are selected form the school dropouts of the region and provided training. In the Department of Textiles and Apparel Designing when the training is completed each trainee is provided with a sewing machine with she can start a small business and the cost of the machine is paid back to the college in interest free monthly installments so that the money recovered can be used to provide machines to the subsequent batches. In this way college is trying to create small entrepreneurs among the women folks and provide them a vital income generation source. This scheme is being run as a dream project of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor.
