Co-Curricular Activities
The students are provided ample opportunities for their participation in extracurricular activities such as
Games & Sports: Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Athletics etc.
Cultural: Traditional and Modern Dance, Drama, Mono acting etc.
Literary: Debates, Quiz, Extempore etc.
Fine Arts: Spot Painting, Poster, Rangoli etc.
Every year the college organizes a college week in which the students compete in the different extracurricular activities through representing their different houses. The winners are given the prizes on the concluding day of the college week. The students also participate in State and National Level competition like MOSAIC competition organized by NEHU every year, inter college competitions and Republic Day celebration etc.
Apart from these the students also organize and participate in world environment day, world consumer day, world tree plantation day etc. and several other events during the year.
Opportunities for Personality Development
a. Garo language class is conducted once in a week
b. Special training is provided to the students to appear for different competitive exams, TOEFL tests etc.
c. Mock tests and counseling for different competitive exams.

Academic Regulations
The academic regulations for UG program is made as per the provision under section 18(1) of the Central Agricultural University Act 1992 (No. 40 of 1992) and the statue 14 (3) of Central Agricultural University, Imphal. These regulations are called “Central Agricultural University Academic Regulations-2007 for Under graduate Studies” and are applicable to the student admitted during the academic year 2007-08 and onwards.
RESEARCH
In addition to imparting education, the faculty members are also engaged in different research activities based on the problems and need of the region in order to improve the quality of life of the people.
Research problems are identified through group discussion, interaction with villagers, discussion with line Department Officers and Extension functionaries, survey and information from secondary sources. Then the problems were prioritized as per the need of the area and research priorities are fixed for each department from relevant thrust areas. Every faculty is proposing the project proposal considering the practical utility of the study.
EXTENSION
Several extension activities are being handled by the faculty. The college has been organizing on-and –off campus trainings and outreach programmes for rural women on income generation activities. The faculty members of the college are invited by KVK, ICAR and Department of Agriculture, Social Welfare, IFAD (International fund for Agricultural Development),etc to impart trainings. It gives an opportunity to interact with local agricultural functionaries and assess their need. The various training programmes organized by the faculty members are on the topics pertaining to food preservation, jackfruit processing, handloom weaving, embroidery and glass painting, tie and dye, textile designing and fruit preservation. Emphasis is also given on training on health foods, natural dyeing, flower making, soft toys etc. through organizing short training, front line demonstrations, celebration of important weeks and days and participation in exhibitions and North East Agri Fair. In addition Adult Education programme is being carried out in the nearby villages adjoining the campus in which education is imparted by the students at villager’s house. These extension programmes are being organized both independently and also with the support of line departments.
